Michael Ogrinz (@mogrinz) is the author of “Mashup Patterns: Designs and Examples for the Modern Enterprise”. He is also Principal Architect for global markets at one of the world’s largest financial institutions. A frequent industry speaker on Enterprise 2.0, he has been instrumental in enhancing the computing environment at his firm through his work on code reuse, usability, social networking, and mashups. He is also the founder of localendar.com, an online calendaring resource for webmasters running local community sites.
If you read my bio in the book then you already know I am building a full-size replica of the B9 robot from the TV series Lost in Space. Why? Because it's a lost easier than building a full-size Robby the Robot from Forbidden Planet. Still you ask, "Why?" I also collect/restore vintage vector arcade games (Asteroids, Battlezone, Star Wars, etc) and pinball machines (Dr. Who, Twilight Zone, Whitewater) and having a robot greet visitors to "Mike's Arcade" seemed a nice touch.
